Heya, this is Melissa from NZ. I'm finally heading off on the OE I've wanted to do forever and really excited about it! Although I'll miss all my friends and family back home in NZ heaps I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones on my tavels. So use this to keep track of me as I trot around the globe so I don't have to send massive emails this time. Keep in touch - kiwigirlnextdoor@yahoo.co.nz

April Adventures

April has been a pretty crazy month, can't believe I was away 3/4 weekends this month and the last one at home we had a house party! Managed to get up to Edinburgh for Easter, Derby/Nottingham to see Jenine, and North Wales with Will for a dancing weekend - see my previous posts : ) Hardly feel like Ive been at work much this month, having done a couple of three day weeks! And with the days getting longer Ive also managed to get out and about and do some cool things in London this April.

The weather has been getting nicer and nicer and Ive taken quite a few walks around after work, its great to feel confident enough to just wander around in London and not get too lost. Although sometimes I do underestimate distances a bit, and walking from Oxford Circus to way past Tower Bridge after work to see 'Taming of the Shrew' mid-april was a bit of a mission but cant complain about the scenery, as it was lovely walking along the Thames in the evening sun. Had a picnic with the Cubs in Hammersmith and had a busy couple of weeks getting them ready for Cluster Camp coming up at the start of May.

We had a house party on the last Friday of April and its surprising how many people were there seeing as it was only the three girls from my room who were home that night! We had a great time as we usually do and partied on until 3am-ish when noise control came around : )

My flat is changing a little bit this month with all three people from the other bedrooms moving out and three Aussie's moving in (one boy and two girls will bring it up to 5 vs 1 but should be ok) Glad I have some kind of constant in our room with Sara and Cris, awesome girls who are really easy to live with. Still enjoying the area and its beautiful to be able to walk along the Thames after work - Loving the sunshine, hope even if its not sunny where you are that you're happy : ) Bring on May!
